Billy Josefsson (BJ) has an operational background as an air traffic controller all ratings civil and military. BJ has since 1994 building teams of excellence from the operational and academic world and together performed extensive research results with national, European and Global actors. The focus has always been on a human centred automation embracing new technology, ML, AI for ATM, aviation and maritime applications where risk and safety assessment and safety culture are a priority along efficiency and sustainability. BJ organise national and international events / seminar conferences. BJ maintain a global network where he exercises his insights for strategic planning, leadership, teambuilding and communication.
Billy Josefsson (male), is the CEO & Founder of space2ground consulting AB.
B. has a background as surveillance officer in the Swedish Airforce. Since 1982 B. served as an Air Traffic Controller all ratings (CIV/MIL) in various roles. B. also have a background in Psychology from Linkoping University. B is active in Global ATM (Air Traffic Management) Research Automation & Human performance since 1994. B. worked in LFV (Air Navigation Service Provider) with system development, design and evaluation for En-route and TWR/ approach with focus on automation, safety and Human Performance. Since 2004 active in the European ATM Social Dialogue and in many European Research SESAR and HORIZON projects over the years as PM, WP Lead, task lead and contributor. Now focusing on UAM/AAM, drone services and society needs keeping the sustainability as a top priority for the work. Automation, AI support for operations and safety & risk assessment related to new technology and digitization in/outside SESAR scope.
B. is the author/co-author of number of articles for Journals, proceedings and conferences. B, excels in other means of dissemination, organising and moderating workshops, seminars etc. Collaborations with Eurocontrol, FAA, NASA, CANSO Europe and CANSO Global. Partners and collaborators comprise all over Europe, Dubai, Singapore, Brazil to mention a few. B. is a music enthusiast enjoys listening and playing. B. maintained his PPL for 34 years. B. resides in Norrkoping, south of Stockholm, with his wife.
